HOW TO USE A KONJAC SPONGE

Gently splash your face with water while soaking and softening the sponge in warm water. If the sponge is completely dry, it may need to be soaked for up to 15 minutes to fully soften. Gently squeeze out any extra water by pressing the sponge between your flat palms. The sponge will naturally cleanse by itself and it is not necessary to use cleaning products, but you can add a small amount if desired. Gently massage your skin in a circular motion. Avoid rubbing your skin too harshly.

AFTER USE AND CARE

After use, always rinse and expel any excess water by gently squeezing it between your flat palms. Hang the sponge in a dry, airy place between uses. When it dries, the sponge will shrink and harden. This is completely normal – just soak in water for a few moments and it will become luxuriously soft again. In humid places, you can also store the sponge in the fridge to help it last longer.

With careful use, your sponge should last 2 to 3 months. It is made from 100% organic plant fiber; when it starts to break-down, replace it with a new one from The Beauty Shelf. Natural and eco-friendly, the old sponge can be safely composted in your garden.

Your sponge can be sterilized by popping it in a bowl of hot water (not boiling) and leaving for a few minutes. Boiling water can deform the sponge, so do not soak in boiling water. Take care when removing the sponge from the hot water.
